Linekind on the web

Privacy on the web

Your writing deserves clear choices. Here is what stays in your browser, what is sent to a provider, and what your web account keeps.

1. What this notice covers

This notice covers Linekind’s web service at linekind.app, including its account, writing, listening, and direct web billing features when available. It also covers the optional connection to Linekind for iPhone and iPad. Native features have an additional in-app privacy notice; Apple sign-in and your verified web account remain separate logins that you can explicitly link.

Contact the Linekind team about privacy at jorge@cerostudios.net. The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

2. Information the web service uses

  • Account and security: name, email, password hash, verification and reset records, sessions, device authorization codes and expiry times. Session records may include IP and device information. Passwords are not stored as readable text. Approving a matching device code signs that Linekind app into your web account; do not approve a code you did not request.
  • Local writing: drafts, reviewed conversation text, writing samples, context cards, rehearsals and preferences stay in your browser unless you choose to save a specific item to the cloud or submit it to a provider. Browser screenshot reading happens locally. Screenshot image files are not uploaded; you review the extracted text and speakers before using it.
  • Optional cloud workspace: when enabled, Linekind stores the titles and content of the individual items you upload, with document identifiers, type, timestamps and revisions. Content is encrypted at rest on our server, not end-to-end encrypted. The service can decrypt it to return it to your authorized devices. Local-only material is not automatically uploaded. You choose which saved cloud items to import on another device.
  • Writing requests: our server processes the text, selected voice samples, approved context, conversation and results needed for the requested tool. Prompts and answers are not saved in application request logs or the server database as generation history. A copy can be stored separately when you explicitly save that item to the cloud.
  • Usage and billing: account and billing references, paid-period dates, request type, time, status, quota counts and request fingerprints. Provider records can contain token or speech-character counts and test-mode status. Missing counts remain unavailable. These records are account-linked, not anonymous.
  • Linked access: connecting the native app stores its account identifier and environment, plus encrypted session and signed purchase evidence needed to verify eligible access. These credentials are not sent to writing providers. The app stores its web session in the device Keychain. Unlinking removes the server connection; signing out or revoking a web session removes that session’s access.

Stripe processes web payment details; Linekind receives billing references and verified status, not full card numbers or security codes. Support receives only the material you choose to email. These records operate requested features, prevent abuse, enforce existing usage limits and handle account closure.

3. Providers and your choices

Writing with OpenAI

Before your first writing request, the web interface asks you to confirm sharing with OpenAI. A request can include your selected tool, language and register, tone, situation, reviewed conversation, chosen voice samples and context cards, instructions, draft, and rehearsal turns. Writing samples and saved context are included only when you select them for the request. Meaning review, conversation coaching and rehearsal use this same writing-provider confirmation. Both drafting and editing use OpenAI, so the editing step can receive the input and a candidate answer.

Linekind disables the Responses API’s stored-response option (store: false). This is not a zero-retention setting. OpenAI’s separate abuse-monitoring and prompt-cache retention can still apply. OpenAI states that API content is not used to train its models by default unless the API customer opts in. See OpenAI’s API data controls for its current rules. Linekind does not promise zero provider retention.

Optional listening with ElevenLabs

Listening is a separate choice. After you confirm it, Linekind sends the selected text and language to ElevenLabs to generate synthetic speech. The web listening feature does not need a microphone recording or a clone of your voice. You can keep using writing without enabling listening. Provider handling and retention follow ElevenLabs’ privacy policy; we do not promise that every provider copy is immediately deleted.

Account email with Resend

Resend processes your email address, verification or password-reset message, account link, and delivery status to send account emails. Linekind’s configured sender is accounts@conectamedia.app. These emails are for account access; this flow does not subscribe you to a marketing list. See Resend’s privacy policy. Email acceptance by a provider does not guarantee arrival in your inbox.

Web payments with Stripe

Payment details are entered on Stripe-hosted Checkout or its billing portal. Stripe processes payment, billing, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under Stripe’s privacy policy. Linekind receives billing references and payment status, not your full payment-card number or card security code. Writing content is not sent to Stripe for billing.

These providers may process information outside your country. Their handling is separate from the copies and records Linekind controls. We do not sell your writing or use it to target advertising.

Optional website measurement

Optional measurement is off until you choose Allow measurement. You can use Linekind without enabling it. We also keep it off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, as an additional product privacy choice.

If you allow it, we record a random visit reference, a recognized Linekind campaign identifier (or an unknown/no-campaign label), a limited page category, interface language, and selected interactions such as opening the studio or accepting a demonstration edit. We can connect that visit to an account signup, verified account, checkout creation, completed writing requests and later use through a protected account reference. Copy/save events are signals of use, not proof that a result was helpful. A checkout opening is not counted as payment; verified Stripe payment and financial records establish web collections.

These measurement records contain no message text, screenshots, writing samples, email addresses, raw page URLs, browsing history, IP addresses or fingerprint. No third-party advertising pixel or session recording is added. The measurement choice stays in this browser until you change it or clear site data. The random visit token is kept in this tab’s session storage and expires after 24 hours.

Open Privacy choices on the website to turn measurement off. If previously enabled, Turn off and remove stops new collection in this browser and requests removal of the current visit and the optional measurement records for any account linked to that visit or your signed-in session. The interface reports if server removal cannot be confirmed. Necessary account, fraud-prevention, usage and financial records remain separate. Measurement records older than 90 days are removed by the service’s cleanup during normal app activity; protected backup copies may remain until replaced.

4. Cookies and browser storage

Necessary account cookies keep you signed in. This web application does not include advertising trackers. Stripe’s own pages may use their own cookies and security technologies.

In Your space, you can withdraw writing-provider confirmation for future requests, manage account sessions and the native connection, and enable or disable cloud uploads. Listening has a separate confirmation. These changes cannot recall material already sent to a provider.

Choose individual local items to upload or cloud items to import. If a newer cloud revision exists, Linekind asks you to resolve the conflict instead of silently overwriting it. Turning cloud saving off stops new uploads; it does not delete existing cloud items. Delete items individually or use the separate clear-cloud control to remove their content and turn cloud saving off.

Local and cloud deletion are separate. Signing out, unlinking a device or deleting your account does not erase writing already saved locally on another device. Clear local writing in each browser or app, and delete downloaded exports separately. A person with access to the same browser profile may be able to read its local writing. Clearing site data or private browsing can remove local-only drafts, which Linekind cannot recover.

The optional browser shortcut sends only text you explicitly select into a review screen. It does not automatically send a message, call AI or read other pages. Review and accept the imported text before using it.

5. Retention and account deletion

Browser content remains until you delete it or the browser removes it. Account records support your account until deletion; sessions and access links have expiry periods. Linekind retains usage, billing, security, and deletion records as needed to administer payments, prevent abuse, finish account closure, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. These retained records do not have a single promised automatic deletion deadline.

In Your space (Settings), request account deletion using your current password. The process must cancel your direct web subscription and close open web checkouts before it removes cloud document content and native links and finishes deleting the authentication account and sessions. It can end paid web access immediately. If billing cancellation cannot be confirmed, deletion remains pending and new paid work is blocked; follow the on-screen instructions or contact support.

Required financial records and limited records needed to establish billing and deletion history can remain after account deletion. Individual cloud deletions can retain an empty document identifier and revision to prevent an older device from restoring deleted content. Copies in protected backups may remain until those backups are replaced; this is not a promise of immediate removal from every backup. Deletion does not erase Stripe’s financial records, provider-held data under their policies, downloaded exports, or drafts left in your browsers. Manage any native App Store subscription separately.

6. Reduce sensitive information

Use only the context needed for the request. Remove full names, addresses, credentials, financial or health details, and private information about other people when they are unnecessary. Submit only material you are permitted to share. Do not submit children’s personal information.

Linekind uses protected account sessions, password hashing, and access controls. No online service or browser storage can guarantee complete security. If you suspect an account or privacy problem, email support with a brief description and no password, reset link, or private conversation.

7. Privacy requests and changes

You can contact jorge@cerostudios.net to ask about your information, request access or correction, request deletion, or raise another privacy concern. Tell us the account email and what you want to do. We may need to confirm control of the account without asking for your password. The response and any records we must retain depend on the request and the rules that apply to it.

If this notice changes, this page will carry the new date. Material changes to provider sharing or the scope of a confirmation will be presented in the service before that new sharing is requested. See web terms for membership details and web support for practical steps.
