Using Linekind

Version 1.0.2: free replies and weekly Plus

This section applies when version 1.0.2 is installed. It describes an update prepared for App Review, not a released update. Earlier versions keep their existing offer. For 1.0.2, the terms below about requiring an account and subscription for all AI, monthly-only subscriptions and no free trial are replaced by this section; other terms remain unchanged.

New users receive three complete AI reply sets in Chats once, without an account or subscription. A completed set contains three reply options. Failed requests, requests needing more context and no-reply results do not use a free set. Consent is still required before each request. Other AI tools require eligible Plus or connected access.

A random device credential is stored in iOS Keychain to identify the free allowance. The server keeps a pseudonymous allowance identifier, completed-request markers and counters, without conversation text. These small records have no automatic time-based deletion and prevent duplicate free allowances. Ordinary sign-out, account deletion or reinstalling does not reset the allowance; device erasure or Keychain loss may affect access. The free allowance is not linked to an Apple sign-in account. Contact support for privacy or access requests.

Linekind Plus Weekly is an auto-renewing subscription: eligible subscribers receive three days free, then US $4.99 per week. Apple shows the local price and whether you qualify before confirmation. The trial automatically renews into a paid weekly subscription unless canceled through Apple; cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid renewal. The monthly option remains US $19.99 per month, with no trial. Existing monthly and legacy subscribers keep their terms.

Weekly Plus includes 100 completed sets in each verified subscription period, including the three-day trial, with a shared limit of 30 per UTC day. A trial period and a paid period are separate allowances; a trial is not a paid purchase. Unused sets do not roll over. Restoring or reinstalling does not add sets. Existing request-attempt limits remain. Manage or restore through My voice → Settings, and manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple settings. Deleting the app or Linekind account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Navigation for your app version

The instructions below use the version 1.0 labels: Studio, Saved and Your space.

In version 1.0.1, open Chats for replies, Profile Workshop and Conversation Coach, and Practice for guided or custom practice and rehearsal. Open Chats → View all for the saved library. Open My voice → Settings (the gear icon) for account, membership, app language, privacy, deletion and Connected workspace controls described under Your space. Writing styles and context cards are in My voice.

Linekind is a writing assistant for adults aged 18 or older. Your use of the app is covered by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. This page explains the service and subscription. Questions: jorge@cerostudios.net.

Your words and your decisions

Linekind offers AI writing for profiles, replies and revisions, conversation and draft review, and practice feedback. Review the results: they may be incorrect, awkward, or inappropriate. The app cannot know another person's feelings and does not promise replies, attraction, dates, or relationship outcomes. It never sends messages to another person for you.

Submit only text you have the necessary permission to use. Do not use Linekind to impersonate someone, harass, pressure a person who declined contact, or create content involving minors. Respect others' boundaries. The service may decline requests that are unsafe or lack necessary context.

Monthly subscription

Linekind Plus is an auto-renewing monthly subscription. The plan for new subscribers has a US base price of $19.99 per month. Apple shows your applicable local price and billing period before you confirm. No annual plan or free trial is offered. Existing subscribers on the earlier $14.99 US plan keep their current plan; they are not moved to the new offer automatically.

Payment is handled by Apple. The subscription renews unless you cancel through Apple. You can manage or cancel it in Your space → Manage subscription or your Apple account's subscription settings. Cancellation preserves access through the paid period, subject to Apple's verified subscription status. Deleting the app or your Linekind account does not cancel the subscription. Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests. Your space → Request a refund opens Apple's form for a current verified purchase, or offers Apple refund help when one cannot be verified. Apple decides whether to approve the request.

Included use

All AI tools share 100 result sets per verified paid subscription period, up to 30 completed sets per UTC day: profiles, replies, rewrites, conversation reviews and practice feedback. One completed request uses one set, including all its options. Three alternatives or two processing passes still count as one. Generating again or requesting an AI rewrite uses another set. Manual editing, saving and copying use none.

Requests that fail on the server or ask for missing context do not use a result set. Conversation Coach guidance to respect a no-contact boundary also uses no result set. Unused sets do not carry over. A new allowance starts with each verified paid subscription period, not at the start of a calendar month. Restoring purchases, reinstalling or recreating an account does not add sets.

Existing subscribers on the earlier plan retain 300 successful generations per UTC calendar month, up to 30 per day. Their monthly allowance resets on the first day of the UTC month. They are not moved to the 100-set plan automatically.

Separate request limits are 60 per UTC day and 600 per UTC calendar month, including unsuccessful attempts. Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC. A reset does not itself renew subscription access. AI requests require an internet connection, a signed-in account, consent and a verified eligible subscription; temporary service or purchase-verification interruptions may affect availability.

Screenshot text recognition, local drafts, fictional examples and reading, editing, copying or favoriting saved work are free. Live AI generation and feedback require Plus.

Connected writing access · Build 11

Build 10 keeps the App Store access described above. When these features are available in your installed app, you may explicitly link eligible iPhone and web accounts. Linking does not purchase a subscription, add sets, combine allowances or cancel either subscription. The App Store prices and allowances above remain unchanged, including the earlier plan.

On iPhone, a supplied Apple purchase proof uses verified Apple access and its existing allowance. Without Apple purchase proof, an eligible linked Stripe membership can provide writing access from its existing web allowance. Web-funded requests follow the web terms and request limits. Apple-funded access does not include the web plan’s listening allowance. Manage each subscription where you purchased it.

A completed meaning review or rehearsal request uses one writing set from the applicable allowance. Applying or dismissing a suggested edit locally does not. Rehearsal is an AI simulation, not a prediction of what a real person will say. Review findings and source references can be wrong. These tools use OpenAI after confirmation. Guided tools in version 1.0.1 and later also use OpenAI with fresh consent; earlier versions identify their provider separately.

Cloud saving is optional and limited to items you choose after enabling it. Uploading or importing does not consume a writing set. Local copies and cloud copies have separate deletion controls; see the privacy notice.

Privacy and support

Review the in-app AI disclosure and the Linekind Privacy Policy before submitting text. Screenshots are read on your device; the reviewed text you approve is sent to Linekind and the provider named in the consent screen: OpenAI for all writing and coaching tools in version 1.0.1 and later. Earlier versions use Google for Profile Workshop, Conversation Coach and practice, as their consent screens state. Local history deletion and account deletion do not immediately erase records retained independently by providers.
